What is the ring of fire and what does it do. The ring of fire are lots of volcanoes all chained up together from all over the globe from the japan trench and the middle American trench these are mostly volcanoes. St Helens is on the ring of fire and its eruption was one of the most dreadful explosions in 1980. It killed all life and covered them in Ash that killed all the trees surrounding the area, the water was all dirty and destroyed along with all the water life, around 50 people were caught in this horrific event and died the explosion was so big that it created a massive hole in the mountain removed almost halve of the mountain and this caused a landslide. So this shows that these types of volcanoes scattered across the ring of fire are still very dangerous and are all caused because of the tectonic plates below. So showing that St. Helens was a big disaster and the ring of fire is very dangerous and alive.
